Who Really Surrendered?

Although the flow of mercy emanating from the Lotus feet of Lord Caitanya seems to have no boundaries, the ways it manifests is proportional to the unconditional or conditional ways the curious ones, the needy ones, the desperate ones or the truly intelligent ones surrender to the Lord. Even though a waterfall can be largely diminished in its greatness when flowing through a narrow valley or entering a swamp.
As we see today, "being a devotee " doesn´t often include the unconditional surrender Srila Prabhupada expected from those He initiated into the purifying process of the unconditional surrender to the MISSION of His spiritual master.
Already in His vapu presence, while chanting and following their regulating vows externally, some still insisted to "add Krsna" to their lives and not to "surrender entirely" their minds, bodies, and desires to the will of the Lord.
To surrender means in its essence a COMPLETE renunciation of one´s conceptual thinking and unconditional acceptance of the thinking, feeling, and desiring of the spiritual master, sadhu (the guru parampara), and statements of the sastra.
Without this understanding initiation becomes a farce as we often see today; the guru becomes a mere decoration paraphernalia, and sastra simply an "interesting treat" to entertain the minds of the "like to be intellectuals".
The proof of such false initiation is that the "disciple" is free of the essence - of the DISCIPLINE, and is satisfied to USE the guru instead of serving him. Such kanistha adhikari at best and sometimes a demon at worst is simply using the guru and Krsna for financial and social purposes. Srila Prabhupada recognized the presence of such individuals in His movement and tolerated their material inclinations in the firm faith into the purifying power of devotional service.
In some cases the initiates returned to their materialistic ways of life and again became enchanted by social, psychotherapeuthic or altruistic issues... or came to believe that "money is the honey" again. For such a crooked fellows Srila Prabhupada´s movement became a playground for achieving their political and financial ambitions, especially after His departure.
As birds of the same feather flock together, their materialistic consciousness attracted only similarly minded ones, and so the meaning of actual unconditional surrender to the mission of the Srila Prabhupada got lost.
Wherever the preaching spirit of His preaching mission survives, the flow of mercy is still unobstructed, and those who daily bathe in it feel invigorated and submerged in the transcendental bliss.
Where pious mediocrity of artha, dharma, kama and moksa prevails, the "initiates" along their populistic guardians live in mere shadows of the original spirit, which made Srila Prabhupada´s movement so vibrant.
Pure unconditional surrender to distribution of books of Srila Prabhupada (preferably in original form they were dictated), pure unconditional surrender to the ways Srila Prabhupada presented the words of His spiritual master fearlessly, and pure distribution of prasadam without the camouflage of altruistic activity brings out the volcano-like eruption of the mercy of the Lord and the results will be accordingly.
Those who truly surrender to the mission of the bonafide spiritual master can experience unmotivated happiness sprouting from their unconditional desire to serve.
Those who prefer to dwell in the kama misra bhakti regions can only taste the sweet rice mixed with sand, even pretending to be fully surrendered in front of inexperienced audience.
As stated in the Vedas, the fruit is tested by its very taste, and so time will reveal the level of surrender and the level of material desires still prevailing on the part of the conditioned soul.
The choice is on our side, Krsna and Srila Prabhupada are calling and waiting.
