Krsna Conscious Management II

As Srila Prabhupada pointed out many times, the work of a materialist and the actions of a devotee seem to be the same externally, but in regards to the outcome and the consciousness it is performed with, there is a gulf of difference.

Karmic work is considered successful when the desired result is achieved. If no a great deal of disappointment follows and whatever was done is considered a waste of time.
Devotees work differently.
There is a goal to be achieved, but at any time the devotee is aware that Krsna is the observer and the final permission giver, and not even a blade of grass can move without His permission. When He wants to give, our two arms are not enough to receive all the gifts; when He takes, our two arms are not strong enough to protect and keep what we got.

Krsna Conscious manager takes initiative as "God helps those who help themselves", but then he carefully observes the signs on the road, and by dint of sastra, guru and sadhu he prays for intelligence to understand if these signs are of encouraging or warning nature.
The material nature is in a constant move and so such manager pragmatically and realistically makes updated assessment of the situation around him. Any attachment connected to the influence of the mode of passion immediately disrupts the process of praying to and receiving counsel from the Lord, and one is left alone desperately struggling for the desired result.

In this way life becomes exciting. As we propose, God may dispose, and so management becomes a sort of dialog between the Lord and His devotee. In the case of a pure devotee, as we saw in Srila Prabhupada, Krsna feels even obliged to His wonderful servant and due to his desire He makes impossible possible.
Then in absolute amazement, the still conditioned devotees may simply behold the transcendental exchange between the Lord and His most intimate servant.

And so with personal initiative followed by a constant prayer to become the instrument of the Lord in absolute detachment from the final result of one´s action, free of lethargy, a manager is facing his daily small and big challenges on the battlefield material nature daily provides, knowing that the day is coming he will have to leave his body, the field of his management, and according to his consciousness be transferred to a destination Krsna deems fit for him.
