“ISKCON Owners” and “ISKCON Head hunters”

14 Sep 2024

Those who came to believe that they are the only chosen ones and herewith holders of the keys of Vaikuntha or even Goloka Dham and their agressive critics, the head hunters, got it both wrong.

ISKCON owners, those who asumed sense of ownership and conducted privatization of Srila Prabhupada's property, cannot be rectified or stopped. Too long their growing narcissism went unchecked and became very expert; they learned to “speak the language of their customers,” leading fools and innocent pious ones to their donation boxes in order to fill up their private bank accounts again and again. Too locked up is the club of the ISKCON owners with their “code of silence” and their internal rules of mutual awareness of the compromised activities of the other member of the “club of the chosen ones.” “Don't criticize; otherwise, you will be criticized,” is their internal policy, and so they form a team of “trancendently privatized ones who are operating beyond the reach of the public eye.”

As the head hunters target them one by one, they end up to waist their ammunition against the concrete walls of the fortress of the ISKCON owners, defended by their bodyguards and tax collectors, walls built from the bodies of those who like the lies as they come and are scared of the truth as it brings responsibility to them.

Most people desire to get cheated, and the ISKCON owners know how to speak the language of their customers well.
If not succeeding in the West, they move in the East, where still enough pious innocent souls can be found to be stripped of their conscience and money in the name of “Surrender everything to God.”

The head hunters, often angry that they couldn't get “a piece of the cake,” may bring up correct points of criticism, but being driven by uncontrollable anger, they often publish unverified testimonies and relate to gossip, as the ISKCON owners do.

And so, indeed, both parties are missing the point. What could the missing point be?

TO CELEBRATE THE GLORY OF THE FOUNDER ACHARYA A.C. BHAKTIVEDANTA PRABHUPADA.

It is from Srila Prabhupada that we can learn how to stay focused in service to the Supreme Lord and His mission.

Can ISKCON owners and their oponents, the head hunters, distribute Srila Prabhupada's books? Hardly.

Will both parties be seen in the public preaching field, traveling all the time, offering people in general their personal association, and introducing them by their own example to the ways they can tengibly and pragmatically practice Krsna Consciousness? Hardly.

Both parties being hidden behind their titles and computer screens are moving only in cyberspace while humanity at large goes to hell.

What did Srila Prabhupada do when witnessing year after year the movement of his spiritual master falling apart?
Did he try to reform it?
Did he attack its disfunctionable leaders?

No.

He tolerated their envy and their attacks, and only when we, his disciples, came under the attack of his godbrothers, he stated clearly we should disasociate ourselves totally from these “venomous persons.”
Instead of becoming a head hunter, Srila Prabhupada, in full dependance on the Supreme Lord and entirely in the line of his guru's instructions, created a positive alternative, calling it the ISKCON.

Who is who in ISKCON was clearly defined by Srila Prabhupada; no further alternation of his instructions is needed.
Who is a member (not owner) of ISKCON? The one who follows the authorized process of purification as set by the Founder Acharya. When not following, he is not ISKCON anymore.

After all, Srila Prabhupada expected us to become real devotees and not designated title holders in a bureaucraticly conducted institution that is managed along the same patterns as any mundane institution or business-oriented company.

And so the challenge in front of us is:
What positive alternative can we offer?

The answer can be found in the local fields, where birds of the same feather flock together.
Naturally, the sincere ones will seek the association of sincere ones. Naturally, those who want to join Rasa lila in two weeks will find those who, for a good entrancy fee, will show them how to do it.
Naturally, those demons who infiltrated the pure mission of the Founder Acharya will find their victims and the ways to stay undetected.
Everything will be answered rightly and correctly according to the position of our heart and the consequent form of desire.
There is only one law always applicable and always active: the law of karma.

Srila Prabhupada's real movement will always be small in quality and big in quantity. He stressed the quality and tolerated the quantity.
And so it is our choice who we want to join: the ever-self-defending ISKCON owners. or the ever-agitated head hunters... or those of introspective and sober nature who discretely but persistently try to provide positive alternatives in the form of book distribution, public hari-nama, prasadam distribution, and finally the creation of Krsna conscious communities as desired by Srila Prabhupada.

In this way we can use our time or we can waste our time. The choice is ours.
